Peter Dubitsky, MS, LAc

Peter Dubitsky came to acupuncture through interests in Asian arts and philosophy, athletics, health and fitness, and the martial arts. He completed his acupuncture training in 1991 and was among the first acupuncturists to earn a NYS License in Acupuncture in 1992. 

Peter developed a special interest in the treatment of pain conditions through personal positive experiences with trigger point acupuncture and electro-acupuncture to successfully treat his own athletic injuries, and the pain conditions of other athletes. Complementing his clinical specialization, he has completed a 300-hour post-graduate program in the Acupuncture Treatment of Orthopedic Conditions.

Professional Experience:

College Administration and Education - He has been an acupuncture college clinical instructor and administrator and a clinical Instructor for Masters and Doctoral programs.. 

Integrative Medicine - Peter worked for 17 years in a family medical practice, integrating acupuncture with the medical care of patients.

Service to the Profession - He was a professional member and chair of the NYS Board for Acupuncture for ten years, and completed additional terms as an "Extended Member" providing advice to the board and the Office of Professional Discipline.

Awards
* The Pearl of Wisdom Award - From the Acupuncture Society of New York in September 2015, in recognition of Peter's contributions to the acupuncture profession.
* Health Care Heroes Award - From Hudson Valley Parent and Life magazines, in 2007, for improving the quality of life for patients in the Hudson Valley.

Tai Chi - Peter is a master instructor and now taking a break from teaching.
