About Peter Dubitsky
Peter Dubitsky opened Acupuncture Health Care in 1991. He is a highly qualified and very experienced acupuncturist dedicated to providing personalized quality acupuncture care. He has post-graduate certification in acupuncture for orthopedic conditions and specializes in the treatment of acute and chronic pain conditions.
He attended one of the premier colleges of acupuncture in the United States, the Tri-State College of Acupuncture, which was the only college offering training in trigger point acupuncture, also known as "dry needling". He practices a North American style of acupuncture which combines classical Chinese acupuncture with trigger point acupuncture, and electro-acupuncture. This is highly effective in the treatment of pain conditions, and can promote healing, provide relief of pain, and improvement in function.
Peter has extensive experience working in integrative medical care, and has received awards for his contributions to the field of acupuncture for patient care and as an educator. He has worked as an acupuncture college instructor and administrator for over 28 years. He has been a professional member and the chair of the NYS Board for Acupuncture for over 10 years, and continued to serve as an extended member for an additional 10 years. In 2015 Peter received a "Pearl of Wisdom" award from the Acupuncture Society of NY for his contributions to the profession as a clinician and educator.
Peter also practices internal and external Asian martial arts, including various styles of Qigong and Tai Chi; and has black belts in Tang Soo Do and Tae Kwan Do karate.
